ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basically it's been the best weekend of my life!!!!

Yesterday was my birthday. Had an awesome party with friends and got totally spoiled! :) But nothing beats today.

So Jon and my friends Natalie and Ali and I went up to this beautiful place called Mesa Falls. Little did I know that he was going to propose! We walked around and took pictures and it was really fun. Then we went to one lookout, and he got down on one knee and BAM! Like lightning, it happened!

I just wanted to be sure and document how happy I am. I am engaged to my best friend and I could not be happier. I know our life together is going to be full of crazy surprises, but I wouldn't want to share it with anyone else. SO grateful for my wonderful fiance and man I get to be with for eternity!!!!!!!!!!

Life is so good.
Count your blessings.

I've Become a Morning Person.

Lately I've had this sudden urge to wake up early. Like, 5:30 in the morning early. I know you cringed a little, but it's been SO GOOD.

Wake up, go to the gym, come home, read scriptures, eat breakfast, get ready...and then it's barely 8! It's amazing. I've found that I'm happier, have more time to do things without getting stressed or rushing, and I even surprisingly have more energy!

I'm loving it and I hope I can stick with it.

I'm also turning 24 this Friday which is FREAKY. Not really, but for some reason 24 sounds so much older than 23. I'm stoked it's Memorial Day weekend which is always a plus, I love when my birthday falls on that weekend. Friday I'm having a party with some friendsies and Saturday we're going to Yellowstone! This weekend I plan on doing lots of filming with my beautiful camera that I love. I'm starting up a videography business and I'm so excited about it.

I'm thinking I should be a better blogger and take pictures for my blog with it too.

Well, happy week! Become a morning person like me!

Homework Is Giving Me a Beating.

Math homework.

It's so tedious and lame, but it has to be done.

Sadly I wait until the night before it's due to do it. Every time. I just can't help it! I need the pressure.

I shouldn't even be writing this right now. I have one more quiz to take before I can sleep. I just had to post these adorable pictures Jon and I took with my awesome camera.

I love this guy so much. We've been through so much together and I know we can get through anything life throws our way. He's my everything.

Man, I'm starting to glaze over. Better finish this homework.

Goodnight.

Mommy's Day!

Today is Mother's Day!

My childhood wasn't your average one. I was raised by a loving grandma and mom. I wouldn't have had it any other way! I was definitely a spoiled only child, but I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to grow up with two very strong, independent women as my examples.

When I was 11 my mom remarried and I now have a wonderful dad and two awesome little brothers. But nothing compares to the strength and beauty my mother has. She and my grandma have been the greatest examples to me in my life and I love them very much.

Although my grandma passed away at the early age of 60 due to a brain tumor, I know I will see her again and that she knows how grateful I am for her. I hope I can grow up to be the kind of strong mother both my mom and grandma were. They are amazing.

A last thought I must share is although the world may tell women to put careers and money and other unimportant things before that of being married and having a family, to that I say...DON'T. Whether you are religious or not, we have been given a divine gift to be able to create and have children. We shouldn't put things that don't last forever before something that does...being a wife and a mother. Call me typical Mormon or old fashioned, but I know through seeing the amazing strength and love of those women influences in my life that there is no greater career on earth.

So to them and all the other amazing mothers and future mothers out there...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Let the Good Times Roll.

School. Work. Boyfriend. Spring. Sunshine!

Life couldn't get any better.

I'm getting straight A's, I have the most amazing guy in the world by my side, and the sun is finally out in Rexburg. I seriously couldn't be more blessed right now.

This is also the month of my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY! For those of you who have no idea what that means, it means I'm turning 24 on May 24! Golden. But also OLD. Have I seriously lived for 24 whole years? That's nuts to me.

Anyway I've thought a lot lately about faith and I just wanted to touch on that for a second. Faith is a really hard principle. We talk about it all the time, (that part is easy), but actually doing it and putting it into action in our lives can be so difficult.

Elder Bednar, a modern-day apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, describes receiving inspiration from God as seeing light in fog. You can see just enough to move ahead of you, and then a little more, and a little more. It takes FAITH to step forward into the fog, but with that faith comes trust that God will keep up His end of the bargain.

I'm super grateful for the blessings in my life, and to know that faith leads to action. I'm also trying this new thing where I stay positive an happy through everything. It's making me a much better person.

Try it with me! :) Happy MAY!
